Mother psychological wellbeing is mandatory for healthy personality of children. Though, aggravated rate of divorce in all over the world is making young children and their mother vulnerable to many psychological problems. Present study aimed to determine the emotional distress (such as stress and depression) and anger control problem among married and separated women and their young children. A Cross Sectional study was carried out on divorced and married women (N=250) and their young children (N=200). Reynolds Adolescent Adjustment Screening Inventory (RAASI), State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) were used to collect data. Results depict a significant difference in emotional distress and anger control problems among divorced and married women and their youngsters. Divorced women and their children experience more emotional distress and anger control problem as compared to married women and their children. Divorce or separation is very traumatic event for family and especially young children in any culture. It is extremely stressful experiences which turnchildren' world upside down. There should be effective evidence based intervention to help out children to avoid long lasting consequences due to parents' marriage dissolution.
