Since the world has entered the second wave of COVID 19,
empirical studies discussing the Covid-19 outbreak and its impact
on stock market returns and liquidity are very limited. This study
expects to fill the gap and aims to find the impact of the COVID 19
pandemic on stock market returns and the relationship between
market liquidity and Pakistan's stock market returns. In general, it
finds that the spread of COVID-19 had a statistically negative impact
on daily market returns and liquidity.
